Brian Killeen, born 1972 in St. Louis, MO, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts at University of Kansas. He came to the East Coast in 1998, working as a studio assistant in New York, and later as a scenic artist for theaters in Boston. In 2008, Brian moved with his family to Maine, where he began plein air painting, showing his work in many local venues. In 2019, Brian received a Master of Arts in Teaching at Maine College of Art and Design, and he currently teaches K-12 art.

Brian loves painting the stark beauty of Maine. He paints to show others what captures his imagination. Brian’s work is both meditative and playful.
